“When in 1955 the English critics L. Fiedler and R. Banham coined the term Pop Art, they could never have imagined how this artistic movement would revolutionize and influence the art not only of the 20th, but also of the 21st century.”

Following the success of last year's exhibition `"Andy Warhol, A Private View", the new exhibition deepens the knowledge of American Pop Art, a movement capable of embodying and describing the visual revolution that occurred in the perception of the Western and consumerist world starting from the post-war period. On display are works by Warhol, Lichtenstein, Indiana and Haring that tell the story of the development of Pop Art, starting from the Sixties.

"The exhibition is part of a journey that began last year with the exhibition dedicated to Andy Warhol, which was also held at M45. The spectator will be able to admire works by Lichtenstein, Indiana, Haring, as well as the aforementioned Andy Warhol, in an artistic journey that starts from the Sixties and reaches up to the Eighties," comments Marco Bertoli, curator of the exhibition and owner of M45.
