Così lontano così vicino.

On the occasion of Miart and Milan Design Week, M45 presents an exhibition that compares the works of four artists with distinct personal styles and different artistic experiences.

“Così lontano così vicino” title that pays homage to Wim Wenders' 1993 film, becomes the starting point for the collective exhibition at Studio M45. The exhibition project presents an intense and evocative journey through a selection of the most recent works by BubildaBubyPerry, Gisella Chaudry, Mara Fabbro, Alice Padovani.

The exhibition

The exhibition, freely inspired by the work of the great German filmmaker, a dramatically and exasperatedly conceptual symphony on human fragility, presents works by artists who are naturally very distant from each other, but whose sensibilities are well suited to establishing a dialogue. The title also recalls the idea of “distance” as a diversity of language, registers, research and approach to art. The works on display are like the personalities of the artists who created them, so each stands out in their own diversity.

The visual path

The visual path does not want to identify a model of representation, rather it wants to bring the viewer closer to the individual peculiarities of the different artistic practices, without forcing similarities, even if there are subtle references and suggestions that create a sort of “closeness”. The composite set of techniques, themes and approaches is linked by a network of references that must be sought beneath the surface, where observation is combined with thought and its free associations that, accompanied within the traced territories, reveal symmetries and assonances.
